Tai Li Shar-Pei

I come from 2 generations of dog show people. My biological father bred and showed American Cockers, and my maternal grandparents bred and showed Schipperkes. I have also had friends over the years that were also into the fancy, with one of them a breeder and owner/handler of English Springers, and another a breeder and owner/handler of Irish Wolfhounds. I never cared about all of that. I was happy to let them do their thing. I was more into my six kids and their school and sports activities. We had pets, and we loved every single one of them. They were members of our family, but I was always a dog lover first. Over the years, I have had Schipperkes, Dobermans, Irish Setters, Cocker Spaniels and Irish Wolfhounds and a few mixed breeds, but none has captured my heart like my Chinese Shar-Pei. I acquired my first Shar-Pei in 1997 and instantly fell in love with the breed. Someone once said to me, Shar-Pei are like Lays Potato Chips©, you can’t have just one, and here I am ten years later, breeding and showing like my ancestors before me.
